Thursday August 4, 2016
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Speaker: Seth Lloyd (MIT)
Technical Host: Rolando Somma
TOPIC: Quantum Machine Learning
Abstract
This talk presents a series of quantum algorithms for the analysis of big data.
I will show that quantum computers can supply exponential speed-ups over the best classical algorithms for problems such as clustering, classification, and topological analysis of data. I will also discuss recent experimental developments in deep quantum learning.
