TOPIC: Dynamical Symmetry Breaking in Periodically Driven Many-Body Quantum System: Exact Results in Quantum Ising Model

Abstract
The response behavior of a periodically driven quantum system may be markedly different from its classical counterpart. Particularly, the nature of coherent dynamics of a periodically driven quantum many-body system in the thermodynamic limit is an intriguing topic left largely unexplored. Here we discuss the response behavior of one-dimensional transverse Ising model subjected to a periodically varying transverse field as a representative case. With exact analytical results and numerics for large system-size, the investigation reveals general characteristics of the response and phenomena of genuinely quantum mechanical origin, which are in surprising contrast with its classical counterparts.
