TOPIC: Quantum Walks of Electron in Quantum Dot Nanostructures

Abstract
We consider the dynamics of semiconductor quantum dots containing one electron and consisting of tunnel-connected parts. The dynamics of electron tunneling in a system of coupled quantum dots is considered in the presence of decoherence. We demonstrate that in these structures the realization of a full set of basic logic operations, which are necessary for fulfillment of quantum computations, is possible. As the level of quantum noise and the resulting decoherence increase, we observe a crossover from a quantum–coherent oscillatory dynamics to a diffusive classical motion.
